VIGNETTES is a deeply personal exploration of my own flaws and fears told through three surreal fables. Each vignette reflects a part of myself I struggle with: A BLOODY MESS represents my insecurity and need for validation, as Alex is so desperate for friendship that he would rather bleed out than face rejection. THIS ISN'T HAPPENING represents my irresponsibility, with Thom prioritizing his vanished possessions over his commitments to loved ones. Finally, WHEN I WAKE represents my bitterness and vindictiveness through Jimmy (played by me), a character that abuses the power of mind control to ruin the life of a peer that he envies. Inspired by the mundane absurdity of Kafka and Kaufman, these stories are meant to highlight the consequences of unchecked narcissism and hubris, serving as cautionary tales for both myself and the audience.

THE MUSIC BOX is a short documentary I created for my Production class at Columbia, offering an intimate look at the life and career of Dennis Scott, the house organist at Chicago’s historic Music Box Theatre. Through my interview with Scott, we gain insight into his fascinating journey- both personal and professional- as well as the profound influence he has on the modern theater-going experience. A beloved fixture of the Music Box, Scott is more than just a musician; he is a guardian of cinematic history, keeping the tradition of live organ accompaniment alive in an era dominated by digital sound. Capturing even a glimpse of his grand life was a privilege. To reflect the era of silent film that defines his work, I deliberately employed a nostalgic, vintage aesthetic, immersing the documentary in a sense of timelessness. I'm very proud of this film.
